The Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme is looking for a Programme & Communication Manager to join its Joint Secretariat (JS) in Budapest, Hungary. This full-time position will substitute for a staff member on maternity leave for at least one year.
About the Role
The selected candidate will support the implementation of the Programme by managing cross-border cooperation projects, overseeing communication activities, and ensuring compliance with EU regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in project calls, selection, and implementation
- Supporting applicants and project partners on administrative, content-related, and visibility requirements
- Managing programme communication, including website updates, social media presence, and promotional campaigns
- Organizing events, conferences, and partner search activities
- Preparing reports and materials for the Monitoring Committee and the European Commission
Who Can Apply?
The ideal candidate should have:
- A university degree in a relevant field (communication, journalism, regional development, European studies, etc.)
- At least 3 years of experience in the Programme’s priorities or 2 years of experience in EU-funded programme management
- Experience in communication activities
- Fluent English and proficiency in at least one of the Programme’s languages (Hungarian, Slovak, Romanian, or Ukrainian)
