We are excited to announce the Interreg Cooperation Day: Clean-up Contest! This initiative aims to unite ENI CBC and Interreg NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme project partners and local communities in a joint effort to protect the environment by cleaning up our forests, riversides, parks, and streets.
Event Details
From 20th to 23rd September 2024, all project partners of the Programme are invited to take part in a Clean-up Contest, contributing to a greener future and demonstrating environmental responsibility.
You can organize your own clean-up event at a location and time that best suits your community or encourage citizens to take individual or group clean-up walks with family, friends, and colleagues. The goal is to collect as much waste as possible from public spaces that have been impacted by improper waste disposal.
Contest Rules
- Participation Deadline: Confirm your participation by 19th September by emailing us at:
volunteer.HUSKROUA@szechenyiprogramiroda.hu. Please share your planned event details, including the chosen format, date, and location. - Health and Safety: Ensure that all participants adhere to local health, safety, and security guidelines during the clean-up.
- Submission of Photos: Appoint a member of your team to take a picture at the end of your clean-up event. If you’re encouraging community members to do individual clean-ups, ask them to send you a photo of their collected waste.
- Consent: Ensure all participants appearing in the photos have provided consent for their image to be published on the Programme’s social media.
- Photo Submission: Send the photos to the following email:

Submission Deadline: 27th September, 10:00 AM
Winner Selection & Prizes
- The winner will be chosen based on the photos submitted, with an emphasis on the amount of waste collected and community involvement.
- The winning team will be announced on 30th September 2024 via email and on our Programme’s social media platforms.
- Prize: The winning team will be visited by two Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) Reporters in October, who will create a promotional video highlighting the team’s efforts. This video will be featured on the Programme’s website and social media.
